To connect your TX Encounter to your smartphone for the first time, please proceed as follows:
- Download the SWAROVSKI OPTIK Outdoor App from the Apple App Store or the Google Playstore.
- Make sure to give all necessary permissions.
- Switch on the TX Encounter by pressing and holding the ON/OFF button for 1 second. When the TX Encounter is switched on, WiFi is automatically activated for five minutes after switching on.
If you are not sure whether WiFi is activated or not, check the display. If the symbol 
is visible, WiFi is activated.
To activate WiFi on the device, select 
in the Settings. - Confirm that you are the owner of a SWAROVSKI OPTIK device. The app will then provide detailed instructions on how to connect the TX Encounter to your smartphone.
- Tap on the “+” button on the home screen and then select TX Encounter on the device selection page.
- Now click on “Connect with serial number”.

Please enter the serial number of your TX Encounter.

You can find the serial number on the eyepiece. To locate it, unscrew the cover ring counterclockwise.

Your smartphone is then paired with the TX Encounter.

A tutorial is available in the app and provides tips and tricks on how to use the app and the TX Encounter.
After the initial connection is established, the TX Encounter will automatically connect to your smartphone whenever the SWAROVSKI OPTIK Outdoor App is open and WiFi is enabled.
